Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 amβ3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (916) 289-4272. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We checked out this bakery on April 1st at around 12:00 p.m. , and yes, I know this is way overdue it got lost in my drafts. This bakery is just all around comfort pastries. The items they sell have this beautiful nostalgic taste to them. I know that sounds odd but it reminds me of when my grandmother or my aunt's would make homemade baked goods and there's just that memory that got triggered when I was eating the different bear claws and stuff fruit bars and even the muffin tops. The individuals in the bakery were overall nice. They gave us some general suggestions as we had told them it was our first time and we decided to try a few of the things they pointed out. The one thing regarding some of the pastries was the distribution of the fruit or fruit filling. I called this out because, again homemade, some of them had a lot of that filling while others had less. Because of the odd distribution it gave the sense that the pastry was a little dry, only because the other bites that had a lot of that filling felt more moist. Mainly something to call out in case you're wanting to have that filling throughout the entire pastry spread it around so that you can really incorporate it

The bred is fresh and delicious. The pastry is also fresh delicious. I love their apple fritters they are light, moist and not grease. It is clean and the service is outstanding. Get there early they are that good. We live an hour away and stop in when ever we are nearby.

I wanted to find a bakery similar to what I am used to on the east coast and found New Roma. This is the best bakery in the Sacramento area. So delicious. I will not go anywhere else for cakes or doughnuts.

Came in here because I didnt get to last time I was in Sacramento. I got the glazed large donut. And the coffee ring with almonds. The coffee ring with almond pieces and almond paste on the inside, was soft and FRESH!!! The donut, was completely soft as well, and not like other donuts I've ever had. I didnt have a sugar spike, and didnt feel unwell after eating sugary snack. Worth the visit. The staff was helpful too. There were bread too, but since I dont live here. I just wanted to try some things my eyes were interested in.

Regular customer now: I'm obsessed w the savory breads. The sourdough round is incredible. Bolillos are good too. French bread loaf is so soft & still quite dense. 1st visit: Much bigger selection than expected. Great breads for homemade sandwiches. Mini donuts for $50/each. Good apple fritter, but great maple donut--very chewy and fresh. I also got small sourdough rounds and they are heavy, which makes me happy. Coffee cakes available. The service warmed up after a minute. Great little bakery.
